RIDA - OUR IDENTITY

RIDA - OUR IDENTITY
A HUMBLE INITIATIVE TO PROTECT OUR IDENTITY

RIDA is our Identity, Apna Bewe Maula TUS aapni khushi haasil karva nu sabab chhe.It gives us a unique identity, makes us stand out in the crowd. Gives us a sense of Security and Respect, When we see a woman wearing RIDA, the instant reaction is "APNAWALA", and we are the only ones to use this term, Right, kem ke "Apna panu" chhe. At times, at a new place or while travelling alone, when we see apnawala, we have a feeling like as if we are not alone, Apnawala chhe saathe, that feeling gives us a Sense of Security, even though that apnawala is a total stranger to us. This bond is unexplainable, words are not enough to describe it.We have to feel it, Experience it, to understand this bond.

Here, I want to Highlight the misuse of our RIDA. These days in T.V. serials and commercials , we see actors wearing our RIDA. It breaks my heart. It is our own unique identity, How can they use it ? How can they Commercialise our RIDA ?

And to be frank, we are only responsible for this, Otherwise how they will get it ? Our RIDA is not sold in markets that it can become accessible. There can be many reasons behind this. We have to be extra careful while discarding our old RIDAS. Please do not give to the people, who give you money or any item in exchange of clothes, Maybe they are the culprits.

Imagine if RIDA will start becoming accessible to anyone and everyone, what will be the scenario? Su ae Apna panu rehse?

RIDA is our Identity, We are the Fortunate ones, the Blessed ones.It is Our Beloved Aqa Maula TUS's gift to us, Aapna Ehsaan chhe.Hope my humble initiative in protecting Our RIDA, Our Identity, makes some difference to the mind and heart of the people who are unknowingly misusing it. Just wish ke Khuda ae Logo Ne Naik Tawfiq Aape, Aameen.

I do not wish or intend to hurt anybody's feeling, Just a thought came in my mind and wanted to throw some light on it for my own satisfaction,to do my bit to save Our RIDA from being misused.

    3. You have initiated to put it among all of us through this massage . I have also been discussing this issue in small groups, in my relations and acquaintances. it is not only through commercial aspect it is so easily seen in t.v. etc. But I feel it may also be for the sake of publicity, and also tv film.etc .people might be taking advantage by showing respected and prestigious community in what ever they try to put before the viewers.

    4. You are saying that rida is not available in market this statement is totally wrong because it is easily available

    6. Right Sakinaben it is in all of us, ke sukam koi parkom apni RIDA pehne? Yes you are right they are trying to attract audience because we are known as a peace loving community, and if we select something that has to be the best.......

    7. How does Anyone plan to enforce any Rida copyrights and
Who will enforce that legal entitlement? What authority can be responsible for that work ?
Will this require a financial budget to operate and who will bear that burden?
What penalty can be imposed for the offenders of Rida copyrights ?
A debate has to be intelligent, and must bear logic.
It cannot be an exercise for emotional comfort.
A consultation with a lawyer or an attorney will help end this debate instantly.

  2. Very true, as we are to be blamed for commercializing it. Think about those poor or middle class who can't afford all these fancy & expensive RIDAs.

  5. Heartening to read your concern for the Rida. As with all concepts which reach a wide audience, the propensity for abuse increases. Along with the dive to inculcate in muminaat behno the need to don the rida, there should also be a drive to respect and protect it.

The article is really good and has been written by you in good faith and love for aqua maula and his mansoos who have time and again warned our ladies to hide their zeenat from gair mehram mardo. Rida does give a sense of security and respect and use of the same in tv serials is definately not acceptable. as you are planning to patent the same with raza mubarak is a good thought. i think you should go ahead with the same. all the best

  35. You can only decide and control what you choose to respect or not, for yourself.
And everyone else has that same right as well. The day others loose that right to decide, control and choose for themselves, then you TOO WILL NOT HAVE that right from that day. What goes around will come around and return to you.

  36. Rightly said behen rashida. Ridas should only be worn by true mumenaat beheno who also have the personality and character which go inline with the dress. Giving our ridas to outsiders to wear only discredits our own identity. Especially if the person wearing it is not of good character. Aapne apna Haq na dai syednah Mohammed bhurhanudin t.u.s. na dua si, and naiq and khair sikhamano si apnu akhlaq achu kariye che. Ghair logo ne aa khazano nahi milto. So why wear our dress. And more importantly why give Ghair people our dress to wear. Well done for speaking out.

  37. I completely see your point, but not giving away old ridas or cutting them up to prevent those who are less fortunate from getting them, when there are people with no clothes just seems completely wrong. Yes, other people are wearing the rida, why is everyone so offended? I think that it is great that more awareness and glorification is being brought to Aqa Moula (TUS). And yes, the experience of going to a foreign countries and seeing someone with a rida and meeting them is something that i absolutely cherish, but what about all the times you meet Bohras that don't wear rida/topi? For me those times were just as special. Our shared values, language and Aqa Moula (TUS) bring us together, not the rida/topi.

    1. You will not understand the importance of RIDA unless and untill you start wearing it and seeing the Respect and Security a Muminah Bahen gets in wearing it....And there is no harm in givivg RIDAS to Muminaat if they need it, you don't have to give our libas to parkom people to cover themselves....Khuda har ek ne Naik Tawfiq aape....

      Delete
    2. Salaam bhen, i happen to stumble by your post and found it very appreciating, your concern for our libas is worth a thought. But i believe if it is being used in a electronic media in some good sense than it should be a matter of pride for us, yes if it is being misused as u said in some comercials then thats wrong. A lot of bohra people are associated with the media world, instead if saying that our rida should not be focussed on television i want to urge those apnawalas who work with the electronic media and news agencies (not actors)to wear rida and let the world know we move ahead with the world but still abide by our bawa shafiq maula (tus) farman and his khushi.

  38. How about we worry less about the others who wear rida and worry more about our sister muminaat that don't?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes worry if anybody at your place is not wearing RIDA, force them to wear, kem na pehne ane jem pahenvi jove em pehne......But if parkom is wearing our RIDA better worry more because you never know whom you are talking to is a MUMINAH or a fraud, Imagine on social network, the profile pic. of a woman is in RIDA and you keep taking her as Muminah and keep sharing our information, what mess can be done then....Humble Request, Please be careful....

This is a very valid point, mumenaan should be fully aware while discarding their unused ridas and this should not be given to anybody else before it cut down in pieces so that there is no use of it. Furthermore one point is also there that the pump and show of now a days for Bhari Ridas should be totally banned and this should be in a very simple manner of clothes like Mumineen's whilte cloth of Kurta Saya etc.
